GUCCIFEST: A MINISERIES TO INTRODUCE GUCCI’S NEW COLLECTION

When speaking about surfing the wave of innovation, Alessandro Michele is second to no one. Carving out a personal space among the latest hybrid fashion weeks, Gucci’s Creative Director is about to present his first digital festival — GucciFest —, available online from today, November 16 to 22: a seven episodes series, filmed in Rome and co-directed by Gus Van Sant and Alessandro Michele himself .

The GucciFest’s protagonists and actors, Silvia Calderoni, Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, Florence Welch and many more, will dress nothing but the new Maison’s collection, Ouverture of Something that Never Ended, an ensemble of captivating creations with no seasonality.

A never-seen-before approach to fashion, that started when Michele launched a 12 hours live streaming for his Epilogue collection last July to respond to the Covid-19 emergency.

MEN IN THE COOLEST JEWELRY

All that glitters might not be gold, but one thing is for sure: we all need some extra sparkle to face these hard times. So what’s better than wearing some of the coolest and rising Fall 2020 jewelry brands to shine?

Louis Abel, All Blues, M. Cohen, Foundrae, Luis Morais

On our radar there is a big dose of the minimal, Scandinavian aesthetic, brought to us by All Blues, jewelry brand founded in 2010 by pals Frederik Nathorst and Jacob Skragge, and Jimmy Loutfi’s Louis Abel, a recent add to the jewelry world, born by the desire to express creativity in all its forms. The result? Simple yet bold unisex pieces, both in silver and gold, that make a visual impact for their sinuous shapes and versatile design.

More eclectic and exotic, M. Cohen was founded by Israeli designer Maor Cohen. A wide range of necklaces, cuffs, rings, earrings and bracelets for the mysterious and adventurous wearer, living the life of far away landscapes.

As a testimony of self-expression, each Foundrae’s crafted piece is a wearable symbol of energy, love, personality and empowerment. Clip chains, earrings and rings that have a lot to say: “Authentical. Personal. Autobiographical”, as the Creative Director & Co-founder, Beth Bugdaycay, says.

Last but not least, Luis Morais came to life in 2002 from the hands of the eponymous jewelry designer, whose mission is to provide a unique play of duality made of gold, diamonds and gems. A rare balance between a playful, lighthearted spirit and a darker, wilder side.
