THE MARCH WARDROBE: LEATHER MANIA

Spring 2021 may have started with lockdowns, but that won’t stop us from planning our March-ready wardrobe — whether it is to queue for yeasts and flours, for a walk in the park or the very rare moments of (distant) socialization.

A good dose of leather, a touch of black and basic pieces easy to match and layer up are PLACESOFOURS‘ armor to the swinging mood of the March weather, where one second it’s 5-degree rains and the next it’s almost-20-degree sunshine. So when it comes to assemble any early spring outfit, we choose versatile mid-season staples — a leather trench coat or a biker jacket — that can easily be dressed up according to your needs.

4 SPORTSWEAR CAPSULE COLLECTION TO HAVE NOW

March welcomes Spring 2021 with some of the most exclusive capsule collections, both for men and women. A stylistic riot of leisure- and sportswear, that perfectly embrace the here and now relaxed spirit. From the Canada Goose x Rhude x NBA fluorescent puffer gilet to the Seventies inspired Lacoste x Ricky Regal tracksuits, keep on reading to discover the 4 must-have collaborations of the moment.

For all the All-Star Weekend lovers, Rhude partnered with Canada Goose x NBA collection to bring some Californian heat to the cool and cold Canadian brand’s essentials. The entire capsule revolves around contemporary outerwear pieces mixed with Rhude’s stylistic aesthetic — washed-down fabrics and pops of neon shades — and the iconic NBA logo.

Built upon the idea of a mechanic’s uniform, Carhartt WIP duetted with car dealer Arthur Kars’ Parisian brand, L’Art de l’Automobile, bringing to life a series of workwear pieces in green hues inspired by the trees of Lebanon, where Kar grew up.

Lacoste takes us back to the rippling 70’s with the exclusive capsule collection Lacoste x Ricky Regal, the on-stage alter ego of Hawaiian co-designer and performer Bruno Mars. A lifestyle collection including prêt-à-porter, shoewear and accessories, with iconic pieces such as flared pants, velvet tracksuits and aviator sunglasses.

To celebrate its 110th anniversary, Fila collaborated with British stylists Katie Grand to launch a retro vibes capsule collection made of technical patterns and pop colors. Reinterpreting the Italian brand staples, Grand took inspiration from all the different sports activities, from tennis, hiking and golf to motorcycling racing. The result is modern blousons, utility overalls, football polos and après-ski down jackets.

2021 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

Celebrate 2021 International Women’s Day with its symbolic color and cover yourself in mimosa yellow pieces to let femininity shine bright.

Even though this year’s celebrations will be house-arrest-like, don’t miss the opportunity to dress up with powerful lady garments, such as an off-shoulder figure hugging dress or an oversized lighted fabric blazer to match with a good pair of must-have pointed Prada pumps.

LIGHTS ON ANDREA ADAMO

After working alongside Italian and international designers, from Roberto Cavalli to Dolce & Gabbana and Zuhair Murad, Andrea Adamo chose to launch his eponymous brand in the most difficult year — 2020. The result is a genderless Made in Italy fashion brand, where the garments are conceived as a second skin to move freely in. Aiming to celebrate nudity, Andrea Adamo’s creations, made of seamless knitted dresses, tops and pants, and characterized by all-over cut-outs in a palette of non-colors colors — black, white and different shades of beige —, stand as a contemporary and body positive uniform.

MEN ON IG PLAYING WITH FASHION

It is the middle of the week and you may be looking for some inspiration to look your sharpest for the weekend. Wether you plan to enjoy the little fresh air we are allowed or just chill at home, there is always that good occasion to keep your style game strong.

This week’s best-dressed men on the Gram features well-known performers — The Weeknd and Khalid —, as well as the Beckham family’s second child, Romeo, showing a plain white T-shirt has a lot to say.

Play with fashion with @asapnast: take your favorite unsimilar items and mix them to get a snap-proof outfit. With its pop tone the sporty beanie lights up a good pair of tailored trousers, while the leather jacket rock side is combined with the more elegant yet chunky spirit of loafers.

Knit vests are the big thing of SS21. The models to prefer are those with fun patterns and some vintage allure, which will add a fresh touch of lightness to the spring breeze. @hit_taek is a master in sporting the coolest looks.

The best attire to jump into a plane and take off into the night? @theweeknd is into a sporty total black attire and sneakers. Basic yet never boring.

@thegr8khalid is venturing in winter wonderland on the next level: neon hues to never go unnoticed and a puffer jacket to keep on feeling warm and cozy.

For the fashion people who would never give up on simplicity, @romeobeckham shows on feed how matching a white T-shirt with a baseball cap is never a bad idea. Also perfect is the choice of preferring a black and white color combo — the simplest yet the most popular of the season.

Keep it easy with the work from home look while also reminiscing on the good old days. You just need to dress up in a fleece to bring back memories from the early 1990’s. We are just as into this as @madsdamind is.

THE PLAYFUL SIDE OF SS21 ACCESSORIES

As sweet as candy, Spring/Summer 2021 accessories stand out for their pop and colorful aesthetic. After such a monotonous lapse, leave the Less is more motto far behind, making room for extravagant hats, rings and bags in your daily outfits. Flashy and fun, these quirky Nineties-inspired accessories have already turned the heads of international stars and models like Dua Lipa and Bella Hadid, who recently flaunted an acid bijou by La Manso on Instagram. Rings to be combined with equally fun bags, such as the Glynit‘s baguette-like in lilac patent leather.

With their surreal shapes and nuances, from The Attico x Linda Farrow sunglasses to The Elder Statesman psychedelic scarf, the choices to embrace a funnier season with the most playful SS21 accessories are infinite.
